![]() ![]() On the contrary, the dwarves of Thor modan love to see new visitors, bearers of news although, unfortunately, not many arrive. It is best for a person to show themselves clearly because a furbolg may be watching and they will not like to see someone trying to sneak away. Each clan has its own Totem, and when a furbolg sees a totem, it will know that it has entered Snowspring, Winterpaw, or the Snow Flurry hunting grounds, or any of the others. The rest are gathered into Clans and divided across the region. The furbolgs have a city here, Brownmaw, though it has less than half the total population. They do not like large groups of strangers and are particularly wary of strange breeds but their wariness cannot be blamed. Furbolgs are surprisingly quite friendly to travelers since the Dwarves assured them they wanted nothing from the hills. The dwarves of Thor Modan have had feuds with the Furbolgs on a regular basis because Furbolgs are trespassers and grave robbers. For generations, furbolgs have worshiped a colossal, prehistoric bear that haunts the surrounding area. Fortunately they are not very aggressive. Their intellect is quite limited but their qualities form a dangerous mix that makes them quite fearsome in combat. They are huge bear-men, fearsome and with an ursid form. The furbolg outnumber the other races that inhabit here. The existence of Brownmaw affected the balance and the Furbolg victory over the Drakkari in a series of skirmishes could lead to a loss of fortitude for the Scourge. While the Furbolgs were more numerous, the new Drakkari stronghold were more organized and the Trolls have always been more unified and organized than the Furbolgs. Supposedly, the Frost Paws rallied the polar Furbolg tribes to defend themselves against the Drakkari threat. Other stories say that the Drakkari trolls built Drak'Tharon's Keep even before the Furbolgs built Brownmaw. The dwarves of Thor Modan believe that they can find evidence of the ancestors of the dwarves in the hills and discover truths about the culture of this race. They have not only survived but also thrived, spreading south into what would later become known as Kalimdor and the other continents. It is believed that the Titans left them there when they created them, to test if they would be able to survive on their own. The theory is that the dwarves were the first inhabitants. Their deforestation operation is large-scale and crosses the entire region.Īlthough the furbolgs claim to be the first inhabitants on these hills. Others you can find in the area is Ventura & Co., deforesting the land. The Scourge is also present, but it is not a force enough to be more than a small blockade in the northwest corner. The dwarves live in Thor Modan, although it is not their only residence. About 20.000 furbolgs live in this area, most of them in the capital of Blackmaw. The Grizzly Hills, located in southeastern Northrend, is the home of the Brownmaw furbolgs. Recently, the Alliance and Horde have attempted to establish their presence in the Brown Hills, but this untamed frontier is still a vast and dangerous wilderness that, until recently, time had forgotten. The two races have survived for centuries without conflict, but now the furbolgs have been plunged into a war to defend their land from growing waves of undead trolls. The cause of the sudden invasion is still a mystery. However, despite the trappers and goblins, the most imminent threat comes from the north, where multitudes of Drakkari ice trolls have begun to emerge from their refuge in Drak'Tharon Keep. A large-scale deforestation operation has begun in the region. The trappers are encroaching on the hunting grounds of the furbolgs and the goblin company Ventura & Co. For generations, tribal furbolgs have worshiped a colossal prehistoric bear that roams the surrounding wilderness.Īlthough cute furbolgs have grown accustomed to living in relative peace, recent raids have forced ancient tribes into combat. The lush, primitive mountains of the Brown Hills are in stark contrast to the snow-capped peaks that separate them from the Howling Fjord to the south.Īt the heart of this wild frontier lies Brownmaw, the ancient home of the furbolgs. ![]() Everything you need to know about Colinas Pardas is here, missions, achievements, flight points, data of interest. ![]()
